| Bio: | hello. here is my journal. i started it several years ago now, after encouragement from internet acquaintances on a self-injury and eating disorder website. originally, it was designed to be a sort of catalyst and chronicle of change--i was writing to cure myself of my problems, and also to express my feelings about love, art, danger and obsession (you know, the good stuff) in more artistic, flowery verbiage than regular conversation might allow. nowadays, it is one of my inner voices, and the one which i choose to unleash upon the world in this small, public space. this journal is of a very personal nature, wherein i hold a dialogue with myself, and which is viewed by various close friends. sometimes, i feel i write to keep in touch with those who are far away but close to my heart nonetheless. it is here that i feel most free to disclose, unload, and release feelings about my day, my week, my dreams, my memories and often, to bitch and rant about life in general (and you thought it was all snotty philosophy!) i stray from expounding upon subjects i know nothing about (read: politics, urban planning, mathematics, to name a few) and feel compelled to write about the here and now, the future and the then, the past and the was, as it relates to me. here, i can be self-indulgent, embrace my inner darkness and light, yap on about family and friends, exercise my vocabulary muscles, find ways to solve problems in my life, and keep in touch with some very special people.
i am currently in the middle of a double major in Classical Civilization and Medieval & Renaissance literature; i work at a hospital and teach dance to children, and when not busy saving the world, having tea or finding new and terrifying ways to waste my time, i am here.
